Hi! I am a member of the Delaware Stingers Field Hockey team. We are a club team
that is based in Sussex County, Delaware. Being a member of the Delaware
Stingers is helping me to improve my skills in field hockey, allowing me to meet
other girls who have the same interests, and to share my love of field hockey.
Our team is raising money to attend the National Hockey Festival held in Palm
Springs, California over Thanksgiving 2007. The National Hockey Festival will
cost over $1400 per player to attend. Players who attend the National Hockey
Festival receive great exposure by being seen by college scouts, which often can
lead to college scholarships. Several of the Stingers have been offered college
scholarships after being seen at the past three National Festivals.
Several of the Stingers have moved on and are now playing hockey in college.
Attending the 2007 National Festival in California is one of my dreams and I’m
working hard to get there! Sponsorships could be as small as ten or twenty
dollars, or as large as several hundred dollars. If you would help by sponsoring
me, I would be one step closer to achieving my goals.
