Mission Statement: The Delaware Stingers Field Hockey Organization's mission is to promote the growth and love of field hockey in Sussex County, Delaware and nearby areas for elementary age level players thru adult players.
We are year round organization that: Provides participation and development opportunities for players, and coaches. Provides experiences that will help prepare our athletes for success in the future, both on and off the field. Provides leadership responsibilities that will enable our athletes to be successful members of their community. And Finally, Provides our athletes with a love of the game that will be with them for life.

Delaware Stingers High School Summer League Schedule 2009
Monday- 6/15- 7:15pm Schutte Park Field 2- DE Stingers vs. Lake Forest
Delaware Stingers beat Lake Forest 1 to 0. Great game girls!! The winning goal was scored by Hannah Menendez, and she was the offensive player of the game. Megan Sirkis and Kate Mullett were the defensive players of the game, and Kayla Krause was the MVP of the game, with her great defensive and offensive skills. Hannah Smith recorded the shut out in the goal cage!
Monday-6/22-7:15pm Dover High School Turf Field- DE Stingers vs. Dover 2
Delaware Stingers HS Defeated Dover 2 by a score of 2 -0. Goals came by Kayla Krause and Brittney Joseph scoring 1 goal each! Kelli Warner Recorded the shut out in the goal cage for the Stingers second straight shut out of the season. Offensive Players of the Game were Brittney Joseph, Kayla Krause, and Rachel Doyon, and Darian Scott. Defensive players of the game were Leslie Deroche, and Emily Passwaters. The games MVP Was Kate Mullett whose drives and plays both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball were fantastic! Everyone played an excellent game but also special shot outs to Lauren Shapley and Kate Schroeder for an extra good game!
Monday- 6/29-7:15pm Schutte Park Field 3- DE Stingers vs. Queen Anne’s
Winning 3-0 over Queen Anne's the High School Stingers pushed there record to 3-0 and remained undefeated in the Dover league. Scoring goals for the Stingers were, Kelsey Johnson, Rachel Doyon, and Hannah Menendez. Hannah Menendez leads the Stingers in scoring with two goals early in the season. The games MVP was Rachel Doyon who scored and passed extremely well and helped her teammates to an early lead. Offensive players of the game went to kelsey Johnson, and Hannah Menendez. Darian Scott and Kayla Krause played an excellent offensive game as well. The defensive Player of the game was Emily Passwaters who played an excellent defensive game and dominated on the defensive end of the field. Katie Schroeder and Leslie Deroch also played well on the defensive end. Goalies Kelli Warner and Hannah Smith combined for the shutout. Great game everyone.. your really coming around as a team! :-)

The DE Stingers won 1-0. Hannah and Taylor were captains of the game. Haley Park scored the winning goal. Everyone did a fantastic job, and there was lots of team work!

The DE Stingers won 2-0. Ambyr and Arynn were captains of the game. Taylor scored a goal with an excellent assist by Hannah, and Brady scored the second goal on a corner. Great job to all of the girls! Everyone did great!

The synergy of Disney Sports and USA Field Hockey presents an event that boasts high quality competition, world-class facilities, and top-notch organization. True accolades are for the players who compete before national team selectors and college coaches from all over the country. That's why at this event we say "Welcome to the Proving Ground."
